Hi! My name is Rylee Rogers and this is my 8th year of 4-H with the Two Rivers Beef Club. I am 16 years old and in grade 11 at Frank Maddock High School. I live on a family-run farm just outside of Drayton Valley where we raise purebred and commercial Hereford and Simmental cattle. This year I chose a thick-made, beefy Simmental steer who I named Gizmo. Me and Gizmo have had quite a year; he was a bit of a challenge to halter break but we made do and he is such a sweetie now- Gizmo's favourite food seems to be my work gloves and my pants lately as whenever I go outside to work with him all he wants to do is lick them. Achievement day is by far my favourite part about 4-H, I love the early morning, the late night and everything in between. It is always so exciting to see all the other members' projects and getting to show off all the hard work that I put into my market and breeding projects throughout the year.
