This is King. My 4-H steer this year and he was the best steer I’ve had. He ate his grain like crazy from day 1 and never stopped eating until I started training him, however he was still the smallest steer in our 4-H pen earning him the nickname “the royal peasant.” King is a cross of Angus and Semimetal, but his height came totally from Angus. He was the most trained steer by the end of March, mostly since I worked with King many, many times over the winter, and had him leading by February however he started getting grumpy in March and I had to work with him more and harder. I have a butcher spot booked for King on June the 10 with Schlecker Meats.
