This is my 4-H steer, Berny. He is the best steer I’ve ever had, (even though I’ve only had 1 other). Berny is pretty friendly on the halter, and I can lead him with ease. I didn’t work with him a lot over the winter, but I worked with him as much as I could during spring. He is pretty well trained, and I can let him go to fix his halter and he stays by me. Berny is a red Simmental calf, which probably explains his size, he’s the biggest steer out of our 3 steers. Berny really likes his grain, he even eats grain when he is tied up, (if I put a small pail of grain by him). I have him booked in at Schlecker Meats on June 10th
