My name is Jorja Werenka, I have been a member of the Mayerthorpe Beef Club for 10 years. I love working with my project and doing club activities, even if they are virtual. I have just completed my first year of post secondary education at Olds College for Business Management majoring in Sports Management while also playing for the college’s Women’s Broncos Hockey team. In order to help me pay for my tuition and books I have done this steer project. His name is Ham, he is a Red Angus steer that I chose from our family herd. He will definitely fill your stomach and your freezer. We have a spot booked on Wednesday June 9th at Dan Custom Meats (Barrhead). We would be able to get the steer to an alternate facility if you wish. Thank you to Ian and Connie Walker for purchasing my steer last year.
