My name is Payton. I have been a member of Anselmo Willing Workers for 6 years now. I learned a lot from 4-H, such as being a role model, caring for animals, and being creative. I am a grade 6 student in Elmer Elson Elementary. When I’m not farming or hanging with cattle, you can spot me with my horses either roping or barrel racing, or playing sports like hockey and basketball. My beef project this year is a black Angus/Simmental cross named Captain that I picked from our family herd. Captain was a bottle fed calf then moved to a bright green pasture for the entire summer. Captain and his buddies are being fed barley and hay. If you want a juicy steak or a cheeseburger, Captain should be your pick!
