Hi there, my name is Noah Kastelic and this is my third year in the Mayerthorpe 4-H Beef Club. As a 4-H member I have grown as a person, learning how to run a meeting, speak publicly in front of people, to help my community and have led to further fuel my passion for agriculture. I am in grade 12 at Mayerthorpe High School and after I graduate I plan on attending Grant MaCewan University for a bachelor of commerce degree, this is something I hope to future incorporate into growing my herd. When at home the various things I enjoy doing is helping with making feed in the summer, and calving out cows in the spring. In the winter time I can be found often at many outdoor rinks as well as at the Sangudo arena. This year's steers name is inspired by the sound the scale will make when he steps down onto it, and the fact of his sensible manner. We have a butcher spot booked at K and D Meets at Barrhead on June 11th and we would be more than happy to take him to this or an alternate processing spot. I would like to thank those who supported previous years 4-H sales and thank last year's buyers David Lovich and Andrea Donahue for their purchase of my steer. I would also like to thank our club sponsors and leaders for all the work you put in behind the scenes for us to further our growth as young community members.
