"Hi ! My name is Garyn Willett and this is my 4th year being a part of the Lobstick 4H Beef and Multi Club. I live on a farm north west of Wildwood AB, where I raise Simmental and angus cattle. This year I picked a Simmental steer named Juan. My steer Juan was a family raised steer with some cool white stripes and he has some snaz to his step. I chose Juan because he was a nice thick calf and was always my favourite calf. At weigh day my steer started off at a weight of 625 pounds! We have had a great interesting year together, both learning more and more about each other each day that passes. 4H has taught me so much throughout my 4 years of being a part of 4H. My favourite part of being in 4H is being able to attend all the programs 4H Alberta has to offer. Sadly this year with covid, there have been only online programs so far. It is always fun going to IN PERSON programs and meeting new people around the province and connecting with members in surrounding clubs. I am excited for years to come and can not wait to be able to have another in person show and sale.
